5 Questions: Patriots training camp preview
The Patriots did win 10 games and the AFC East a year ago, but they never really won over their fans and, one strongly suspects, coach Bill Belichick due to a lack of consistency and resiliency. As one would expect, that led to an active offseason for an organization that measures success in terms of how many Super Bowl trophies it has on display at Gillette Stadium. That included drafting a whopping 12 players for the second straight year; cutting ties with the likes of tight end Benjamin Watson, defensive end Jarvis Green and linebacker Adalius Thomas; and adding a cluster of veterans (Torry Holt, David Patten, Gerard Warren, Damione Lewis, Alge Crumpler) in hopes of hitting on one or two.
